IT & Systems Manager

They are now looking for a diligent, unflappable IT & Systems Manager with strong communication abilities to join this dynamic team. This is a site-based role with responsibilities extending across multiple sites.
The IT & Systems Manager will play a critical role in understanding and enhancing the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring that their technology strategy aligns with and supports their business objectives. Whilst elevating their technological processes and providing unmatched IT Support for the wider team. This position demands a well-organised individual who not only understands the technical environment but is also able to communicate and coordinate effectively across various departments and with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish strong relationships with all staff members, understanding their processes, and ensuring IT solutions meet their needs.
- Build and nurture relationships with Managed Service Provider and ERP software provider.
- Coordinate and comprehend the entire IT environment, ensuring that IT initiatives support business objectives.
- Develop and implement long-term strategic IT plans.
- Act as a liaison between the company directors and IT, ensuring that the IT roadmap aligns with business strategies.
- Nurture and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring that all IT-related procurement supports the long-term IT strategy.
- Strong understanding of Remote Desktop server environment and awareness of virtualization technologies
- Ensure optimal performance of servers and other critical IT infrastructure.
- Proactively take forward the company’s IT vision, preparing for future technological advancements.
- Engage in continuous learning, especially around Pegasus Opera, Payroll systems, and SQL, to support and enhance the company’s operations.
- Be flexible in providing support during critical business operations, particularly around payroll processing.
- Produce timely and relevant business reports and support other projects within the IT department.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of IT systems and their impact on the whole business.
- Experience in implementing and supporting ERP Systems, especially in areas like trading, financial reporting, sales, procurement, inventory control, and more.
- Familiarity with Pegasus Opera, Payroll, and SQL.
- Expertise in various IT technologies such as Active Directory, Remote Desktop, thin client, COLO, Virtualisation (Hyper-V or VMware), Microsoft 365, and more.
- Experience with business intelligence reporting tools such as SSRS.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and project management skills.

- Work closely with users, stakeholders, and business partners on process improvements ensuring implementations meet business needs.
- Enthusiastic and unflappable nature.
- Exceptional communication skills, comfortable speaking with directors and building strong relationships.
- Flexibility to provide support especially during payroll processes.
- Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and project management skills.
- Designing, managing, and implementing IT projects.
- Managing third-party ERP Application Support and IT Support providers.
- Producing and providing training and training documents.
- Generating business reports and supporting other projects within the IT department.
- Previous experience in implementing and supporting ERP Systems.
- Experience in creating reports using business intelligence reporting tools such as SSRS and a strong understanding of SQL.
Note: Knowledge of Pegasus Opera and Payroll systems, while not mandatory, will be considered a huge plus.
